The influence of nature of functional substituents in cyclopropane ring on polymerization process rate and also on composition of copolymers at their copolymerization has been detected. It has been established that at copolymerization of cyclopropane containing monomers with donor (styrene) the copolymers of statistic structure, but with acceptor – copolymers of equimolar composition of alternating structure are formed. It has been established that in the last case the process is carried out as a result of formation of complexes of charge transfer between molecules of comonomers. The possibility of transfer of total influence of inductive and mesomer effects of functional substituents of cyclopropane ring through system of conjugated bonds with participation of cyclopropane ring and benzene nucleus for vinyl group has been firstly shown and the scientific explanation of this fact has been given. Cyclopropane containing monomers possess antimicrobial properties and polymers – high photosensitivity and optical transparency which gives possibility of their use in medicine, microlectronics and optics.
