Main area of activity of the structural unit:

Creation of polymer composition materials on the basis of polyolefins, natural minerals and their wastes with high operational properties and preparation of nanocomposites by the method of reprocessing. Scientific developments for rational use of side products and wastes of production of chemistry and petrochemistry with the aim of conservation of the environment and stabilization of ecological balance.

Main scientific achievements of the structural unit:

A low-molecular polyethylene forming at production of PEHP is subjected to modification; Cl, N, O and other derivatives and also copolymer of maleic anhydride with olefins and (meth)acrylic acids have been prepared. It has been shown that the prepared products are successfully used as appretes in polymer compositions.
By the method of reprocessing with the aim of utilization of recycled PE the scientific-research works have been carried out and the composition materials with the wide spectrum of physical-mechanical characteristics have been prepared.
The influence of quantity and structure of filler, size of particles, dispersity and other parameters on physical-mechanical characteristics of the created composition materials has been studied. It has been shown that these materials possess high operational properties. In development of PKM the synergetic effect between filler and polymer matrix in the filled system has been revealed. In the absence of solvent the method of chlorination of hard polyolefins has been developed. On the basis of chlorine-containing side products of wastes of production of propylene oxide the curers for epoxide resins have been prepared. The possibilities of application of the developed polymer materials have been investigated and the recommendations for their application in a life and in the industry for the technical purposes have been given.
