Connected with the order signed by Supreme Majlis of Nakchivan Autonomous Republic dated April 20, 2012 on hold of “Nakhchivan: first city and Duzdag” international symposium, and related in outcomes of held researches in the vicinity of Nakchivan Duzdag, “The ancient salt mines of Nakchivan Duzdag” book was published in the “Ajemi” publishing-house.

The book elucidates antiquity of Duzdag, salt extraction here since BC V millennium, and mining development. During investigations were determined that, Duzdag mine has been widely used in the early Bronze Age.

Publishing in Azerbaijani and English languages, 79 paged book covers archaeological materials that found in Duzdag, papers, as well as photos of the stone hammers.

Scientific editor of the book is acad. Ismayil Hajiyev, advisor acad. Isa Habibbayli, authors corresponding member of ANAS Vali Bakhshaliyev, chief department of the Institute of Language and Literature of Nakhchivan Branch Nizami Aliyev, French National Center for Scientific Research Dr. Catherine Maroo, Dr. Severine Sanzin, Dr. Caroline Hamon and Dr. Philippe Dessaint.
