The republic wide second competition on the best scientific research work in the field of Earth Sciences organized by the Council of Young Scientists of ANAS Institute of Geology had completed. 6 people won the competition announced on February of this year.

Let’s note that, doctorates, masters, bachelors, and other youths over 35 and engaged in scientific research works have participated in the contest. Beside ANAS Institute of Geology, scientific articles were presented to the project from ANAS Institute of Geography, ANAS Institute of Chemical Problems, ANAS Institute of Radiation Problems, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic, Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, and Baku State University.

According to the head of Young Scholars Council, PhD on geological-mineralogical sciences Orkhan Abbasov’s words, 800 AZN for the author of the research work of the first place, 400 for the second, 250 AZN for the owner of the third place were intended. There are participants who had won encouraging awards among the winners.

The competition was held by the support of the Azerbaijan National Committee of Geologists. The aim is to encourage young scientists and help their financial status.
