Head of structural unit:

Magizar Nadzhat gizi Aliyeva
Doctor of Chemical Sciences, main scientific colloborater

Total number of employees:

12

Main area of activity of the structural unit:

Analytical investigations of elemental composition and functional groups of organic compounds, additives; working out of the methods of analytical researches. Studying of the structure and reaction ability of organic compounds by physical-chemical methods.

Main scientific achievements of the structural unit:

The thesis is dedicated to elaboration of the methods of vapour phase chromatoqgraphy for analysis of high boiling and polar products of petrochemical synthesis. In contrast to the modern physico-chemical method with substitution of mobile phase for water vapours and organic compounds (acetone, hexane, ethanol) there has been elaborated the new version of gas liquid chromatography – the method of vapour phase chromatography.

It has been established for the first time that substitution of inert gas for vapour phase mobile phase increases the efficiency of columns, decreases asymmetry of chromatographic zones and time of retaining analyzed compounds.

By the new method of vapour phase chromatography there have been studied the correlative regularities and physico-chemical characteristics known to gas liguid and experimentally proved that these regularities are linear as in gas liguid chromatography.

The method in water vapour flow was applied first to capilary chromatography. The new firm carrier on the basis of natural zeolite – diatomite has been elaborated; two efficient flame forming agents – formamide, carbon sulphide have been used; there has been elaborated the adsorbents from natural zeolites – clinoptilolite, tuff.

The elaborated methods have been also applied for analytical control ower the industral production of alkylphenols.
